Scope overview
The Maryland Environmental Service (MES) is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors to beneficially re-use the biosolids generated by the Dorsey Run Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant (Dorsey Run AWWTP). For the purposes of this contract, beneficial reuse is defined as recycling the lime stabilized product generated by the WWTP for use as a soil amendment and organic nutrient source.
Examples of beneficial re-use practices are land application to farmland, composting and marketing the material and soil blending.
Routine landfill disposal of the material generated by Dorsey shall not be considered a beneficial reuse option.The contractor shall provide all necessary transportation, off-site storage, management, site permitting, and utilization of biosolids produced by the Dorsey Run AWWTP to execute the beneficial reuse program outlined in the scope-of-work.
All tasks covered under this project shall meet Title 40 Agency: Maryland Environmental Services Status: 2BC - Canceled
