Het gebouw ‘Markant’ aan de Burgemeester Raveslootsingel 2 in Almelo is sinds 1 januari 2026 eigendom van het Rijksvastgoedbedrijf. Markant telt een bruto vloeroppervlak van ca. 6.400 m2 en heeft een deels gedateerd inbouwpakket en deels leegstand met geen inbouwpakket (verdieping 6 en 7).
De Raad voor de Kinderbescherming (hierna RvdK) zal tijdelijk gehuisvest worden in Markant, vooruitlopend op de nieuwbouw van de Rechtbank in Almelo. Daarnaast moeten er leegstaande verdiepingen geschikt gemaakt worden voor de Justitie informatiedienst (Justid), zodat deze intern geherhuisvest kan worden.
