Scope overview
DEP intends to enter into a Sole Source agreement with Oceanbotics Inc., for SRV-8 for the Purchase of a remotely operated vehicle underwater robot. The Bureau of Police and Security (BPS) Emergency Services Unit (ESU) conducts search, rescue and recovery operations, and infrastructure inspections. This ROV will assist the ESU team with these critical tasks.
After 20 plus years of use, the current Underwater ROV Sea Otter s thrusters and propellers no longer work, the remote to drive the Sea Otter cannot control the ROV, and it is unable to display images from under the water.
