Scope overview
The work includes excavation with external depositing of matter, after excavation of kote 0. The disused fire training field lies out at Nautsneset and is surrounded by sea on all sides. The training field is located at kote 2, and its proximity to the sea means that the ground water level is very affected by tidal variations.
The measure alternative can lead to the removal of a calculated considerable amount of PFAS (35.9 kg) within a volume of 19,300 m3. The practical implementation of the initiative will be roughly divided into three phases: • Phase 1: Preparatory phase, before handling polluted matter starts. • Phase 2: Excavation phase, with external disposal of polluted matter.
• Phase 3: Roll-back phase, with disasseme and restoration measures.
