Das Projekt "Welterbe-Erlebniszentrum Trier" soll als zentrale Informations- und Erlebniseinrichtung im Untergeschoss eines historischen Gebäudes aus dem 15.
Jahrhundert am zentral gelegenen Hauptmarkt das gesamte Trierer UNESCO-Welterbe in seiner Bandbreite sichtbar machen, Besucher lenken und die Bedeutung des Schutzes und Erhalts des Welterbes vermitteln.
Es gilt, ein inklusives und interaktives Erlebniszentrum zu schaffen, das inhaltliche und emotionale Vermittlung des UNESCO-Welterbes Trier vereint, das Verständnis für das Trierer Welterbe in seiner Gesamtheit stärkt und Besuchergruppen mit verschiedenen Vorkenntnissen und unterschiedlichen Vertiefungsbedürfnissen gleichzeitig anspricht und begeistert.
