Automaattiset ohjausjärjestelmät työkoneisiin ja mobiili etäohjauskeskus EAKR Port Automation -investointiosuudessa on tavoitteena hankkia automaattiset ohjausjärjestelmät aiemmin hankittuun pyöräkuormaajaan ja terminaalitraktoriin. Pyöräkuormaajan (varustettuna kauhalla, trukkipiikeillä ja lumiauralla) ja perävaunulla varustetun terminaalitraktorin automatisointi kilpailutetaan tällä yhdellä tarjouspyynnöllä.
Lisäksi hankitaan näiden koneiden kauko-ohjaukseen soveltuva mobiili etäohjauskeskus.
Tavoitteena on hankkia Volvo 110H -pyöräkuormaajaan ja Kalmarin terminaalitraktoriin automaattisen ohjauksen järjestelmät, joilla työkoneita voi ajaa riittävän tarkasti ja luotettavasti a) kauko-ohjauksella ja b) automaattisella ohjauksella (ainakin työkone kykenee siirtymään automaattisesti annettua reittiä pitkin paikasta toiseen).
Ei tarvitse olla autonominen tai adaptiivinen, avoimet tilaajan omat jatkokehitysmahdollisuudet tähän kuitenkin tarvitaan. Pyöräkuormaajaa on myös rinnakkaisesti kyettävä ajamaan täysin perinteisesti ja manuaalisesti ihmiskuljettajan toimesta. Langattoman tiedonsiirtoverkon reitittimiä ei tarvitse sisällyttää tarjoukseen. Laitteistot hankitaan tutkimus-, kehitys- ja koulutuskäyttöön (ei teollisuuskäyttöön).
