Scope overview
Fire and Emergency New Zealand require a supplier to undertake Building Warrants of Fitness (BWoF) and related compliance for approximately 123 fire station buildings in Te Upoko (Region 3). These are crewed by a mix of permanent and volunteer firefighters.
This work includes inspection, maintenance, reporting, the ability to undertake any defects approved by us and to offer management advice with regards to building and facilities on compliance requirements.
Key deliverables include: � maintain an up-to-date inventory of all Specified Systems, including building extinguishers and hose-reels, etc., along with the corresponding service/maintenance � issue BWOF certificates confirming that the specified systems contained within a building have been inspected and maintained, and are performing in accordance with legislative requirements � carry out inspections of facilities as required by the Building Act � where required by the Building Act, ensure that all facilities display a current Building Warrant of Fitness � offer proactive advice so that facilities achieve full compliance in the most cost-effective and efficient way � complete any approved identified remedial work, ensuring it is undertaken in a cost-competitive manner and is of an acceptable quality standard.
