Nature of Requirements: This RFP is only for pre-qualified Suppliers against the Hazardous Waste Disposal Services Supply Arrangement (SA) EW479-162880. The following SA Holders have been invited to submit a proposal: 1. Stericycle ULC 2. AEVITAS 3. Clean Harbors Canada and Affiliated Companies 4. Clean Harbors Quebec 5. GFL Environmental Inc. 6. Tomlinson Environmental 7. Veolia es Canada Services Industriels Inc.

CSC Health Services is mandated with providing offenders with safe and quality healthcare under the Corrections and Conditional Release Act (CCRA). The provision of healthcare generates medical waste that cannot be disposed of through the regular waste stream.

Objectives: Provide all labour, materials, equipment, tools, and supervisory services necessary to identify, label, prepare, package, load, transport, and safely dispose of biomedical or pharmaceutical waste. Supply arrangement: number EW479-162880. Deliverables: At the request of the project authority, the contractor must: 1. Collect the following hazardous waste: a. Non-anatomical biomedical waste b.
Sharp, pointed waste c. Pharmaceutical waste 2. Ensure the transportation and disposal of hazardous waste in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations. 3. Provide all the necessary equipment for the collection of biomedical waste, packaging, and the identification of approved containers. a. Non-anatomical biomedical waste i. Biopack box (30 pounds, 14’’ x 14’’ x 22’’) ii. Yellow biohazard bag (33” x 37”) b.
Sharp, pointed waste i. Container for sharp objects with a rotating lid that prevents access to the contents of the container and allows for hands-free disposal. Wall mounting option on support. 5 litres. c. Pharmaceutical waste i. 25-litre bucket (lid included) Or any other security devices with similar volume capacity. Any security devices other than those mentioned in a., b. and c.
above must be approved before use by the Project Authority. 4. Provide instructions for the use of hazardous waste containers as well as guidelines for safe packaging and identification. Any conditions for participation of suppliers not specified in solicitation documentation: none. Estimated quantity of commodity: see solicitation document statement of work and basis of payment.
