Scope overview
The Dunedin City Council 3 Waters operations have a requirement to remove waste from the wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) for disposal at Green Island landfill. The type of waste collected includes sludge, ash and grit/screenings.
The pick up locations include: - Tahuna WWTP - Green Island WWTP - Mosgiel WWTP - Musselburgh Pump Station We seek to partner with a supplier for the long term with a maximum contract term of up to 10 years subject to performance. The successful supplier must be flexible and proactive to accommodate potential changes to our future waste volumes.
We require a supplier that can demonstrate the relevant experience and track record with a strong a customer focus. Reliability and the ability to deliver is important to us; we want to partner with a supplier who ensures the collection schedule is always met. This includes responding to urgent requests. Capacity is important. The successful supplier must have the vehicle fleet and drivers to meet our needs.
The fleet must be well maintained to ensure we get a reliable service. We require the successful supplier to demonstrate a commitment to reducing emissions generated while carrying out services for the DCC, in line with the DCC�s city-wide and organisational emissions reduction targets.
This includes meeting emissions reporting requirements and implementing a plan to minimise emissions over the course of this contract.
