Nsanje District Council Implements Development Projects with World Bank and Government Funding

Nsanje District Council received funds from World Bank under Governance to Enable Service Delivery (GESD) and Malawi Government Under District Development Fund in financial year 2024-2025 for implementation of various projects in the district.

The council has budgeted these funds to be used for the procurement of the works specified below, and now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of these works: ITEM NO DESCRIPTION OF WORKS PROCUREMENT REFERENCE CONTRACT PERIOD LOCATION 1 Construction of 2 fully Mwanambweri Primary School school blocks, 2 fully furnished administration block, 2 double door toilets and a playing field MW-NEDC-486858-CW-RFQ 90 Days 2 Construction of Nyanjidu water reticulation system MW-NEDC-488391-CW-RFQ 60 Days Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open tendering procedures contained in the Public Procurement Law and Regulations of the Government of Malawi and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

A bidder shall be required to obtain a certificate of registration from the National Construction Industry Council demonstrating registered contractor status, as a condition of contract award. Mandatory site visit (contractors are encouraged to visit the project site. Contractors should arrange and meet their own transport costs to the site). The visit will be conducted at any time during working hours.

The method of payment will be cash, and ensure you register your company in the bid purchase register at procurement office upon issuance of General Receipt from Accounts. Note: Bids without attachment of the receipt from Accounts will be disqualified and not evaluated. A minimum of three (3) copies per Lot of bids must be delivered to the address below at 9(b) at or before 10:00am 28th August, 2025 .

All bids must be accompanied by a bid securing declaration. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 9(d) at 10:00am, 28th August, 2025 .
