MANGOCHI DISTRICT COUNCIL INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB) CONSTRUCTION WORKS Date of issue: 05TH JANUARY, 2026

• Mangochi District Council has received a grant from the Government of Malawi through Governance to Enable Service Delivery (GESD) Project for the procurement of works as specified below.

• Mangochi District Council now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders from 500 Million category and above for all Construction Works.
• Bidding will be conducted through open tendering procedures under National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the Malawi Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Act 2025 and Regulations of the Government of the Republic of Malawi, and are open to all Contractors/bidders from Eligible Source as defined in the Bidding Documents. The successful bidder shall however be required to produce a valid registration certificate with National Construction Industry Council as a condition for award of contract.
• Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 08:00 to 12:00; 13:00 to 16:00 hour’s local time (Monday to Friday, except national public holidays).
• Bids must be valid for one twenty (120) days after bid opening and must be delivered to the address in 9(a) and deposited in a box marked “IPDC Tender Box” that is placed at the Entrance to Mangochi District Commissioner’s Offices at or before 14.30 Hours Local Time on Monday, 26 th January, 2026. Late bids will be rejected.
• A Complete set of the bidding document in English may be purchased by the interested bidders upon payment of non-refundable fee of K40,000.00. The method of Payment will be cash . The procurement entity will hold a mandatory pre bid meeting and site visit on Wednesday 14th January 2025 09:30am at Water Conference Hall
• All bids will be opened in the presence of bidder’s representative at Water Conference Hall
• It is the responsibility of each Bidder to ensure that bids are submitted in accordance with “Instructions to Bidders” in the bidding documents as non-compliance to the instructions will lead to disqualification and rejection of the bid.
