Scope overview
New York City Economic Development Corporation ( NYCEDC ) is seeking to engage an independent auditor to perform the annual audit of its financial statements, as well as separate year-end audits of its associated entities: New York City Industrial Development Agency ( NYCIDA ), Build NYC Resource Corporation ( BNYC ), New York City Land Development Corporation ( NYCLDC ), Brooklyn Marine Terminal Development Corporation ( BMTDC ), HPPM LLC, and the preparation of applicable tax forms 990 and CHAR 500.
NYCEDC shall select one respondent to this Request for Proposals ( RFP ) to provide the aforementioned services for all six entities. The auditor will be engaged to perform the services pursuant to six separate four (4) year contracts with NYCEDC, NYCIDA, BNYC, NYCLDC, BMTDC, and HPPM LLC. Capitalized terms used herein without definition will be found in the RFP.
NYCEDC plans to select an auditor on the basis of factors stated in the RFP which include but are not limited to: the quality of the audit firm s proposal, experience of key staff identified in the proposal, the audit firm s demonstrated successful experience in performing services similar to the services described in the RFP, and the Maximum Contract Price for each contract.
It is the policy of NYCEDC to comply with all federal, state and City laws and regulations which prohibit unlawful discrimination because of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, marital status and other protected category and to take affirmative action in working with contracting parties to ensure certified Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) share in the economic opportunities generated by NYCEDC s projects and initiatives.
