Scope overview

Clutha District Council (CDC) has the third largest local roading network in New Zealand, with a total network length of 2,903 km. Of that 833 km is sealed and 2,070 km, unsealed. Rural roads make up 95% of the network and there are 360 bridges across the district. The current contract ends 30 June 2022.

Traditionally the road line marking contract has been let as a single contract, along with the new road maintenance contract commencing on 1 July 2022, CDC are tendering three separate maintenance contracts: greenspace maintenance and road network maintenance and road marking (this contract).

All three contracts have been aligned to start on 1 July 2022 and with the same initial duration of 5 years with potential for a 5 year extension for a maximum potential term of 10 years for each contract. The Greenspace Contract will be loaded in the next few days.
