Il Centro comune di ricerca o Centro comune di ricerca (JRC), sito di Ispra, copre un'area di circa 166 ha con 30 km di strade. Le superfici pavimentate (strade, cortili, ecc.) hanno una superficie di circa 300,000 metri quadrati e gli edifici sono circa 300. Gli edifici sviluppano una superficie totale di circa 200,000 metri quadrati.
I locali comprendono anche le residenze e i servizi esterni (Nursery, Club House, ecc.) e alcune parti comuni degli edifici ALER in via Esperia, Ispra. Circa 2.000 persone, interne o esterne, sono presenti quotidianamente al JRC di Ispra. Tutti i locali devono essere puliti regolarmente, la raccolta dei rifiuti deve essere garantita allo stesso modo dei roditori e del controllo degli organismi nocivi.
Di conseguenza, è necessario un contratto per garantire tale servizio, essenziale per la gestione quotidiana del sito del JRC di Ispra. L'unità R.I.3 sarà responsabile della gestione amministrativa del contratto e del controllo del servizio. Le esigenze sono attualmente soddisfatte mediante il contratto di servizi n. 942530-2022 stipulato con Euro &Promos in vigore dal maggio 2022.
