Scope overview

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) The City of New York ( City ) through its Department of Transportation ( DOT ) is seeking a concessionaire for the development, operation, and maintenance of a food, beverage and/or merchandise concession at the Café Building ( Café Building ) and Small Kiosk, Middle ( Kiosk 2 ) at Fordham Plaza located at Fordham Road, Third Avenue and East 189 th Street in the Borough of the Bronx ( Fordham Plaza or Plaza ).

TERM DOT is seeking a concessionaire for one (1) ten-year term with two (2) five-year renewal options, exercisable at DOT s sole discretion. No longer term will be considered. This concession will be operated pursuant to a license agreement issued by DOT; no leasehold or other proprietary right is offered. If you have a physical disability and cannot deliver your proposal to 55 Water Street, please contact the Project Manager at least 48 hours prior to the deadline and alternate arrangements can be made.

STRONGLY RECOMMENDED PROPOSER SITE TOUR & VIRTUAL MEETINGS There will be a strongly recommended on-site tours on March 12, 2025 at 11 AM and on May 08, 2025 at 10 AM and virtual proposer meetings on March 13, 2025 2025 at 10 AM (morning), March 18, 2025 at 6 PM (evening) and May 08, 2025 at 10 AM . Proposers can attend either one of the meetings.

The on-site proposer site tour will begin with a tour of the Café Building followed by a tour of the kiosk. We will be meeting at Fordham Plaza under the canopy at the Café Building doors in the northeast corner of the plaza near the corner of Fordham Road and Third Avenue. There will be three opportunities to attend a virtual proposer meeting.

The first morning session will take place on Zoom on March 13, 2025 at 10 AM. The evening session will take place on Zoom on March 18, 2025 at 6 PM. There is an additional virtual proposer meeting scheduled for Thursday, May 8, at 10:00 AM .

If you are considering responding to this RFP, please make every effort to either attend an on-site tour or virtual proposer meeting. DOT will view favorably proposers that attended either the on-site tour or virtual proposer meeting. MEETINGS The Selection Committee may decide to contact certain proposers with a virtual meeting or over the phone during the week of June 2 , 2025.
