Celková délka úpravy činí cca 3 800 m.
Projektované úpravy se týkají rovněž 2 MÚK, výstavby dvou okružních křižovatek, rekonstrukcí 1 mostu na stávající silnici I/48, vybudování 1 nového mostu přes řeku Jičínku. Podél dálnice jsou navrženy protihlukové stěny a oplocení. Stavební úpravy vyvolají přeložky plynovodů, vodovodů, elektrických vedení a telekomunikačních sítí.
