Scope overview
Dunedin City Council (DCC) are vested in improving the safety of Dunedin�s transportation network. The intersection of Forbury Road / Bayview Road / Allandale Road in St Clair has been identified as a high priority intersection for implementing safety improvements. The intersection has been designed to be converted to a roundabout, in conjunction with speed management treatments and pedestrian crossing improvements.
Works therefore include, but are not limited to, kerb and channel realignment, pavement renewal, footpath reinstatement, new paving and landscaping. This is an opportunity for Contractors experienced in these types of works to be involved in providing an environment that enhances the well-being of the ratepayers of our city.
This Contract is considered to be a chance for the successful Contractor to prove their ability to efficiently deliver these types of safety improvement works for our city. It is of note that the current government has identified safety improvement projects as being a priority for future transportation investment in New Zealand.
