Scope overview

Christchurch City Council (the Council) is planning to repair damaged sections of its brick stormwater mains (brick barrels) in Lyttelton. Barrel diameters are 600, 750 and 900 mm. Approximately 2 kilometres out of a total 5 kilometres of brick barrels need repair. In general the damage is wear to the barrel inverts.

There is a preference for the repairs to consist of a concrete lining to the invert only, carried out remotely, for reasons of safety, efficiency and repeatability. The intended Scope for this EOI shall include, but is not limited to designing, building, and testing and proving (during the phases and up to the commissioning of) a working Invert Renewal/Repair Device.

It is expected that the IP will be shared by the supplier and the Council.
