Scope overview
The Government of Rwanda (GOR) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Commercialization and De-risking for Agricultural Transformation Project (CDAT), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Rehabilitation works for Muvumba 8 (1500ha).
The Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB) / Single Project Implementation Unit (SPIU) through Commercialization and De-risking for Agricultural Transformation Project (CDAT) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Rehabilitation works for Muvumba 8 (1500ha) for a period of ten (10) months with margin of preference of 7.5%.
Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB), and is open to all eligible Bidders. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Rwanda online E-Procurement system (www.umucyo.gov.rw) in 20 days before the fixed deadline for the submission of bids.
A complete set of bidding documents in English language will be available and can be downloaded from the Rwanda online E-Procurement system (www.umucyo.gov.rw) . Replies to clarifications requested by bidders will not be emailed directly to bidders.
Full description
All responses to clarifications will be posted in the Rwanda online E-Procurement system (www.umucyo.gov.rw) and all registered bidders are solely responsible for monitoring the system during the bidding process for all clarifications/amendments with respect to this IFB. All bids will be submitted online using E-procurement system (www.umucyo.gov.rw) before as generated by E-procurement system.
Late bids will not be accepted by the system. Bids will be opened automatically by E-procurement on the same day as at generated by e-procurement system. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of 15,526,856 FRW.
The site visit is compulsory and is set on 18//11/2025 , the meeting point will be at Head office of Nyagatare District - Eastern Province at 10:00 a.m., local time and will be guided by representatives of the CDAT Project (contact person: 0786 289 161).
A compulsory site visit shall be conducted only by the owner of the company or delegated engineer or technician among the key personnel of the company in this bid, justified by a signed delegation of power. The bids shall remain valid for a period of 120 days starting from the submission deadline.
N.B.: If a bidder is interested in seeing the drawings associated with this tender, they can submit a request for clarification via the e-procurement system and include their email address for the purpose of submitting drawings.
