The Namibia Power Corporation (Pty) Ltd intends to initially select Applicants for Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) of the 45 MW / 90 MWh Lithops BESS Contract It is expected that the Request for Proposals will be made in September 2026.
Initial Selection will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (July 2016) revised in November 2017, August 2018, November 2020, and September 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Applicants as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from the Namibia Power Corporation (Pty) Ltd website (https://www.nampower.com.na/bids.aspx). A complete set of Initial Selection documents in English may be downloaded by interested Applicants from the website above. The Pre-Application Meeting is envisaged to be hedd on 20 January 2026 at 10:00 via MS Teams.
More details are in the Initial Selection Document. Applications for Initial Selection should be submitted in clearly marked envelopes and delivered to the address below by 10:00 am (Namibian time) on 27 February 2026. Late applications will be rejected.
