Scope overview
A suitable IT outsourcing partner is to be selected who will replace the Municipality of Horgen’s existing ICT infrastructure within the defined timeframe and assume operational responsibility. This includes the following sub-areas: Network infrastructure The entire network across all administrative locations (LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewalls, internet connectivity, etc.) is to be replaced and provided as a managed service.
Core infrastructure The entire core infrastructure (redundant data centers, virtual servers, storage, databases, backup systems, file and print services, monitoring, certificate management, etc.) is to be replaced and provided as a managed service in a hybrid model (private cloud and public cloud).
Digital workplace (DWP) The digital workplace is to be replaced and provided as a managed service using “fat clients” (notebooks, desktops, peripherals, etc.). Telephony (optional) Optionally, the existing telephony solution is to be replaced by MS Teams Phone (or an equivalent solution) and provided as a managed service.
“Optional” in this context means that the provider must submit an offer for this service, while the municipality will treat its adoption as optional.
