Scope overview
Farmersville Independent School District is accepting proposals from qualified Local Service Providers to provide Leased Lit Fiber Service. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to provide a standard from which to evaluate your companys fiber services as they compare to other providers and as they pertain to the needs of FISD as defined in this document.
Due to the increased utilization of the broadband services by students, staff, and administration, this RFP is a request for 10 Gbps Fully Managed Leased Lit Service between multiple FISD facilities.
Timetable: all times listed are local Central Time (CT) Release RFP February 10, 2026 Deadline for Questions February 24, 2026 - 2:00 PM CT Response to Questions February 27, 2026 Deadline for Submittal of Proposal March 13, 2026 - 2:00 PM CT Contract/Service Start Date May 1, 2027 Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided. Generic proposals will not be accepted.
Proposals must be emailed to Brent Barnard at dbarnard@farmersvilleisd.org and Tracy Neal at tracyneal@vstservices.com. One (1) electronic copy in a .docx or .pdf format attached to the response email is required.
