Scope overview

Reference: RFP/2026/61601 Tender description: UNOPS seeks a qualified consulting firm (or firms) to conduct a comprehensive Feasibility Study and Design for the development of sustainable agricultural infrastructure for smallholder farmers in the Lobito Corridor, Angola (Huambo and Benguela provinces) .

The primary objective is to perform a detailed technical, economic, environmental, and social assessment of approximately 30-35 pre-selected sites to identify the 20 most suitable locations for the implementation of infrastructure, including rainwater storage dams, irrigation canals, and eco-cooling warehouses.

The findings of this study will serve as the basis for the subsequent design and implementation phases of the project, supporting the Government of Angola (MINAGRIF/IDA). Key Requirements: This is an open, national/regional competition. Fluency in Portuguese is mandatory for this assignment. Familiarity with the Angolan agricultural context and national development frameworks is highly desirable.
