  • Summary Seaton Valley Community Council (SVCC) invites bids from suitably experienced horticultural contractors for the supply, installation and maintenance of floral planting schemes across the five villages of Seaton Delaval, Seghill, Seaton Sluice, New Hartley and Holywell. The contract supports the Council's strategic transition from annual bedding to sustainable perennial planting, together with wildflower areas and enhanced biodiversity. 2. Contract Term 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2028 Optional extension: Up to 24 months (performance-dependent, not guaranteed) 3. Estimated Value Estimated combined value for 2026-28: £100,000-£120,000. Non-binding expectation for Year 1: £50,000-£60,000. 4. Scope of Services Full details provided in the Specification and FAQs. Bidders may tender for the full contract or for any of the sub-lots outlined. Approximate quantities and descriptive locations are detailed in the Specification. 5. Evaluation Criteria Full detail s in Specification and Evaluation and Criteria Weightings. Bids will be evaluated on: • Price - 40% • Quality of Plants, Materials and Method - 20% • Environmental Sustainability - 12% • Design Approach - 10% • Experience and Capability - 8% • Maintenance Methodology - 5% • Communication and Contract Management - 3% • Safety and Compliance - 2% 6.
