Scope overview
Vanuit de Wet Educatie en Beroepsonderwijs (WEB) werken de zes gemeenten van de regio Zuid-Holland Centraal samen. Dit zijn de gemeenten Lansingerland, Leidschendam-Voorburg, Pijnacker-Nootdorp, Voorschoten, Wassenaar en Zoetermeer. De WEB gaat uit van een regionale samenwerking en aanpak. Gemeente Zoetermeer is door het Rijk aangewezen als contactgemeente voor de regio bij de uitvoering van de WEB.
Gemeente Zoetermeer is onder andere verantwoordelijk voor de coördinatie en financiering en dient daarbij de regiogemeenten te betrekken. Een Regioplan en samenwerkingsafspraken zorgen ervoor dat de regio, zoals gewenst vanuit de Rijksoverheid, samenwerken aan het verbeteren van Basisvaardigheden bij laaggeletterde volwassenen.
