Scope overview

Project Overview McGregor Independent School District (ISD 4) is seeking proposals for high-speed, symmetrical, Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) via Fiber. The district requires a scalable, future-proof solution to support growing digital learning platforms and distance learning initiatives. Technical Specifications Service Type: Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) over Fiber.

Handoff: Vendor must provide an Ethernet handoff (RJ45 or Fiber SC/LC, to be specified by the District at the time of installation). Bandwidth Tiers: Vendors should provide pricing for the following symmetrical speeds: 1 Gbps, 2 Gbps, 3 Gbps, 4 Gbps and 5 Gbps Contract Term: Seeking a 5-year (60-month) initial term.

Scalability: The contract must allow for bandwidth upgrades in 1 Gbps increments during the term without requiring a new contract or additional competitive bidding. Cost Transparency: Proposals must clearly itemize all Monthly Recurring Costs (MRC) and any Non-Recurring Costs (NRC), including installation, construction, and necessary hardware.

Compliance & Evaluation SPIN Requirement: All bidders must provide a valid Service Provider Identification Number (SPIN) with their proposal. Service Level & Support: Preference will be given to vendors demonstrating a 4-hour (or better) response time for outages. Proximity within a 400-mile radius is preferred to ensure reliable onsite technical support.

Funding Contingency: Implementation is strictly contingent upon the receipt of a favorable E-Rate Funding Commitment Decision Letter (FCDL) and district funding approval of the non-discounted share. The District reserves the right to cancel or scale back the project if E-Rate or district funding is not secured. Agency: Mcgregor Indep School Dist 4 Status: Certified
