Scope overview
Winters Independent School District is seeking proposals for dedicated, fully managed, symmetrical fiber-based Internet Access service with a minimum required bandwidth of 1 Gbps. Vendors are encouraged to provide tiered pricing for bandwidth options of 1 Gbps, 2 Gbps, 3 Gbps, and up to 5 Gbps to allow the district to evaluate scalability and long-term cost effectiveness.
Although the EPC bandwidth selection tool requires a maximum of 5 Gbps, the districts current minimum need is 1 Gbps, with the ability to scale upward during the contract term if cost effective. The district is seeking a multi-year contract of up to five (5) years, contingent upon E-Rate funding approval and annual board authorization.
Vendors may propose shorter contract terms; however, multi-year pricing is preferred. Proposals must clearly identify monthly recurring charges, any non-recurring installation or special construction costs, and must separate eligible and ineligible costs in accordance with FCC E-Rate rules. Service shall terminate at the districts designated demarcation point.
Vendors proposing special construction must clearly detail all associated costs. Price of eligible services will be the most heavily weighted evaluation factor in the bid review process. Agency: Winters Indep School District Status: Certified
