Scope overview
The New York City Department of Education (DOE) is seeking qualified community-based organizations (Lead CBOs) to work with schools to implement the community school strategy in approximately 10 DOE schools ranging from elementary, middle, and high schools.
Robust school and community partnerships will create supportive school environments and coordinate personalized social, emotional, and academic supports that are responsive to identified needs and build on the strengths of students, families, and communities. While there may be multiple partners working in DOE schools, the Lead CBO coordinates all partners and aligns services with the DOE school s goals.
The DOE recommends the use a new award selection method for this RFP to be released through PASSPort, the City's digital Procurement and Sourcing Solutions Portal.
This new method will allow for principals or his or her authorized representative, as well as at least two additional representatives from the School Leadership Team (SLT) to make an award selection (subject to a responsibility determination) after all proposals have been evaluated by a committee, following Section 3-03(i) (1) of the PPP rules.
