Scope overview

The Department of Homeless Services (DHS) is entering into a one year Negotiated Acquisition Extension (NAE) Contract with Bowery Resident Committee Inc. for the 85 Lexington Shelter services located at 85 Lexington Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11238.

The proposed Negotiated Acquisition Extension (NAE) is being pursued to maintain uninterrupted shelter operations while the new RFP, anticipated to have a contract start day of 7/1/2027, is being prepared for release. Consistent with 3-04(b)(1) of the PPB Rules, DHS engaged in preliminary discussions with the vendor, but not negotiations to explore the feasibility of this proposed NAE.

The provider has been providing the services in accordance with the contract terms and the performance have been satisfactory. The term for this NAE is from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027 with the contract amount of $7,166,674. Procurement and award are in accordance with PPB Rules Section 3-04(b)(2)(iii).
