Rund 17.000 Fahrzeuge aus dem Gesamtbestand der BwFPS sind aktuell mit einem Feuerlöscher ausgestattet und müssen alle 24 Monate geprüft werden. Zusätzlich müssen die 6 kg Pulverfeuerlöscher der rund 1000 Kraftomnibusse (KOM) aus dem aktuellen Fuhrparkbestand nach Straßenverkehrs-Zulassungs-Ordnung (StVZO) alle 12 Monate überprüft werden.
Die Anzahl der Feuerlöscher setzt sich wie folgt zusammen: Pulverfeuerlöscher 2kg = ca. 11.350 Stück (Prüfintervall 24 Monate) Pulverfeuerlöscher 6kg = ca. 13.200 Stück (Prüfintervall 24 Monate) Pulverfeuerlöscher 6kg (KOM) = ca. 1000 Stück (Prüfintervall 12 Monate) Schaumfeuerlöscher 9kg = ca.
