People's Republic of China Sustainable Ecosystem Restoration and Biodiversity Conservation Project Field of Ecological Protection GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE Loan No.: 9843-CN Project ID No.: P177450 The People's Republic of China has received financing in the amount of EUR 88,100,000 (US$ 100,000,000 equivalent) from the World Bank toward the cost of the Sustainable Ecosystem Restoration and Biodiversity Conservation Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, non-consulting services and consulting services to be procured under this project.

The objective of the Project is to restore priority habitats and enhance in-situ and ex-situ conservation for priority species in Targeted Areas of Shanxi Province.

The Project will include the following components: Component 1: Investments in Ecosystem Restoration and Species Conservation; Component 2: Strengthening Knowledge and Institutional Capacities for Biodiversity Conservation; and Component 3: Project Management Capability Building.

Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (Procurement Regulations) , dated September 2023, and is open to all eligible firms and individuals as defined in the Procurement Regulations .

After project negotiations, the World Bank shall arrange the publication on its external website of the agreed initial procurement plan and all subsequent updates once it has provided a no objection.

Specific procurement notices for contracts subject to open international competitive procurement will be announced, as they become available, on the World Bank’s external website, China Tendering and Bidding Public Service Platform (http://www.cebpubservice.cn/)--Procurement Notice and Information Section--The World Bank, Shanxi Tendering and Bidding Public Service Platform (https://www.sxbid.com.cn/).
