Vietnam Integrated Resilient Development Project for Gia Lai and Da Nang

P509666 The Socialist Republic of Vietnam has received financing in the amount of US$ 68,400,000 equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the Integrated Resilient Development Project – Gia Lai Province, and US$ 76,570,000 equivalent toward the cost of Integrated Resilient Development Project – Da Nang City.

It intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments for works to be procured under this project. The project will include the following components: Support to Gia Lai Province (a) Constructing selected roads and bridges to enhance access between NH19C and Quy Nhon Port.

(b) Constructing and rehabilitating selected coastal roads and bridges to enhance access between An Luong Commune and Hoai Nhon Dong Commune. (c) Supporting Gia Lai Province’s Project management and implementation, including, inter alia : (i) detailed engineering designs and construction supervision; and (ii) required land acquisition, compensation and site clearance.

Support to Da Nang City (a) Rehabilitating selected sections of the Truong Giang River channel, including dredging and constructing riverbank protections. (b) Constructing a flood by-pass channel, including combined water gate and ship lock, to divert flood water to Truong Giang River. (c) Constructing selected bridges across Truong Giang River.

(d) Supporting Da Nang City’s Project management and implementation, including, inter alia: (i) detailed engineering designs and construction supervision; and (ii) required land acquisition, compensation and site clearance.

CW-04 – Construction Works: Construction of Coastal Road from My Thanh to Lai Giang – Section 1 (Km45+00 to Km57+00), including roadbed construction, pavement structure, drainage works, traffic safety facilities, electrical and lighting system and associated ancillary works.

CW-05 – Construction Works: Construction of Coastal Road from My Thanh to Lai Giang – Section 2 (Km57+00 to Km72+347.20), including Hà Ra Bridge, roadbed construction, pavement structure, drainage works, traffic safety facilities, and associated ancillary works.

CW-06 – Construction Works: Construction of Coastal Road from My Thanh to Lai Giang – Section 3 (Km72+347.20 to Km83+098.39), including Công Lương Bridge, roadbed construction, pavement structure, drainage works, traffic safety facilities, and associated ancillary works.

Da Nang City 2 Summary of the NCB (Works packages) 84.23 09 QN-WB-01 – Construction Works: Construction of Bình Dương Bridge crossing Trường Giang River, including bridge structure, approach roads, drainage, traffic safety facilities, and associated ancillary works.

QN-WB-02 – Construction Works: Construction of Hưng Mỹ Bridge crossing Trường Giang River, comprising bridge structure, access roads, drainage, traffic safety works, and related auxiliary works. QN-WB-03 – Construction Works: Construction of Bình Nam Bridge crossing Trường Giang River, including bridge construction, approach roads, drainage facilities, traffic safety systems, and associated works.

QN-WB-04 – Construction Works : Construction of Tịnh Thủy Bridge crossing Trường Giang River, including bridge works, approach roads, drainage systems, traffic safety works, and ancillary facilities. QN-WB-05 – Construction Works: Construction of Tam Thanh Bridge crossing Trường Giang River, including bridge works, approach roads, drainage, traffic safety measures, and auxiliary infrastructure.

QN-WB-06 – Construction Works: Construction of Tam Tiến Bridge (N5, rural bridge) crossing Trường Giang River, including bridge structure, approach roads, drainage works, traffic safety facilities, and related works. QN-WB-07: Dredging and river improvement works for Trường Giang River – Section 1 (Km0 – Km30), including dredging, disposal of dredged materials, bank protection, and associated works.

QN-WB-08: Dredging and river improvement works for Trường Giang River – Section 2 (Km30 – Km60), including dredging, sediment disposal, bank protection, and ancillary works. QN-WB-09: Construction of Tam Kỳ City flood drainage complex, including flood control channels, drainage infrastructure, regulating structures, and associated technical works.

Total 159.47 15 Note: The estimated cost (million USD) includes VAT, with the VAT portion being covered by the local government budget.

Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (September 2023) (Procurement Regulations) , and is open to all eligible firms and individuals as defined in the Procurement Regulations .

After project negotiations, the World Bank shall arrange the publication on its external website of the agreed initial procurement plan and all subsequent updates once it has provided a no objection. Specific procurement notices for contracts will be announced, as they become available, in Viet Nam Electronic Procurement System (VNEPS).
