Le Hall Marcel Denis à Maffle a ouvert ses portes le 1er mai 1983. Une première intervention de la surface de jeu a été effectuée en 1995 suite à une dégradation du revêtement (couche synthétique coulée sur le béton). Avec le temps et les infiltrations d’eau issues de la toiture, le revêtement s’est petit à petit fragilisé en plusieurs endroits.
L’eau, qui s’est infiltrée dans les différentes couches, rend la surface ondulée (effet de vague) et ne permet plus la pratique correcte du sport ballon en salle. Il est désormais indispensable de procéder aux travaux visant au remplacement dudit sol.
