Scope overview

HBRC is seeking an experienced contractor (with a current firearms licence) to survey and remove feral deer from 8 high priority remnant bush sites in Hawkes Bay. We have recently deer fenced these biodiverse ecosystems to protect the stand of remnant native bush from browsers such as deer and goats.

Some of these sites have had deer issues and will require several deer to be removed while the remaining sites require some surveying by thermal drone, indicator dogs etc. to identify any resident deer that may have been fenced in.
