Scope overview

Te Whatu Ora is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced main contractor to upgrade existing building number 8, on the Hillmorton Hospital site, to improve consumer health and safety primarily in high-risk areas of the building (unobserved spaces such as bedrooms and bathrooms). This requires construction and fittings providing anti ligature performance.

In addition, some seismic strengthening to the south wing and services infrastructure works within the building are also within project scope such as electrical, mechanical and special systems (Nurse Call / Duress and the like. Must have prior experience in constructing buildings of a similar nature and complexity to a minimum value of $3 million within the last five years.

Previous experience on health projects will be an advantage. Contract Value is estimated to be between $1.5 -$2M plus GST.
