Scope overview
DYCD plans to extend their Immigrant Families contracts. These providers deliver comprehensive services for immigrant families living in low income neighborhoods throughout the city of New York.
The goal of the comprehensive services to immigrant families is to: Identify the complex and multiple needs of newly-arrived limited English proficiency families, and, in collaboration with a network of community-based providers, ensure that they gain access to services that help them become self-sufficient and prosper.
Help each enrolled family build the self-advocacy skills and gain the knowledge to enable them to address specific challenges and navigate key systems that impact their lives (for example, the education, healthcare, housing, benefits, tax, workplace, and legal and immigration systems). This extension will affect one contract and the term will be for one year to ensure continuity for these crucial services.
The extension will allow DYCD the necessary time procure these services competitively in the future. DYCD is currently working on the concept paper and reviewing the program model. Agency: Youth and Community Development Status: Award
