Scope overview

The Council wishes to appoint an installation contractor to deliver a domestic retrofit programme for the warm homes grant. The contract will include the provision of retrofit advice, assessment and installation of measures for low-income households. The Warm Homes Local Grant is retrofit funding for low-income owner occupied and private rent homes for use in Birmingham.

The allocated funds have the potential to improve health and comfort and reduce fuel bills for hundreds of families. By focussing retrofit projects on small areas of the city the Council can drive greater demand, real impact for communities and value for money through economies of scale. The Council has tendered via the Procure Plus Dynamic Purchasing System for Retrofit Programme Delivery Services - Lot 2 Turnkey.
