Gemeente Westland is voornemens om een Europese aanbesteding voor de overige eigendommenverzekering te publiceren. Door middel van deze interessepeiling wil gemeente Westland inventariseren of er interesse in deze opdracht is.
Als er meerdere marktpartijen interesse in deze aanbesteding tonen die de gehele dekking (100%) van de overige eigendommen op zich kan nemen zal gemeente Westland overgaan tot het publiceren van een Europese aanbesteding voor de eigendommenverzekering.
Onder overige eigendommen wordt in dit kader verstaan: wegmeubilair in eigendom of onder het beheer van de gemeente, waarmee wordt bedoeld voorwerpen die in de openbare ruimte staan.
Bijvoorbeeld: verkeerszuilen, afvalbakken, banken, urinoirs, lichtmasten, verkeersborden, speeltoestellen, vlaggenmasten, brandkranen, schakelkasten, putdeksels, bloembakken die op de weg worden geplaatst en obstakels aan één of beide zijden van de weg. Het gemeentelijk vastgoed valt niet binnen de scope.
