Det ble i den forbindelse også vedtatt at ordningen om fritt brukervalg av hjemmesykepleien skal samordnes med ordningen fritt brukervalg av praktisk bistand.
Ettersom eksisterende tjenestekonsesjonsavtaler på praktisk bistand løper ut i 2026 ble det imidlertid vedtatt i Bystyret den 28. januar 2026 at det skal gjennomføres en separat anskaffelse av tjenesten praktisk bistand i 2026. Kristiansand kommune har hatt fritt brukervalg av praktisk bistand siden 2010. Cirka 17 prosent velger privat leverandør.
Kristiansand kommune planlegger å lyse ut en konkurranse i løpet av kort tid for å videreføre ordningen med fritt brukervalg når det gjelder praktisk bistand. I den forbindelse gjennomføres det en markedsdialog under forberedelsen av denne konkurransen. Kristiansand kommune forespeiler at nye avtaler vil ha oppstart etter sommeren 2026.Se vedlegg for mer informasjon.
