Scope overview

The U.S. Government is contemplating awarding a firm fixed price with economic price adjustment indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract. Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Amman, Jordan will publish the solicitation on the SAM.gov website when it is available.

The Embassy of the United States of America in Amman, Jordan has a requirement for qualified contractors to provide janitorial services, including cleaning and sanitation, to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment for all staff and visitors. The anticipated performance period is for a base year, with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government.

All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. The Government may award the contract based on the initial proposal without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price type contract. The Government is planning a pre-proposal conference and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation.

Notwithstanding FAR 4.203-1(b)(5)(ii), I have determined that it is in the best interest to the Government that offerors be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) database found at https://www.sam.gov prior to submittal of their proposal.

Failure to have an active account in SAM at time of proposal submission shall deem the offeror’s proposal to be considered non-responsive to the solicitation instructions and requirements and no further consideration shall be given. Therefore, offerors are highly encouraged to register immediately if they are interested in submitting a response to this requirement.

This opportunity is subject to 52.229-12 - Tax on Certain Foreign Procurements (FEB 2021) Electronic Submission/Responses: This opportunity allows for electronic responses. Please submit your proposal prior to the response date and time. Please ensure your email with your proposal does not exceed (20MB), if it does then you might have to send more than one email.
