OBJECTIVES OF THE REQUIREMENT Fisheries and Oceans Canada has a requirement for Janitorial services at The Institute of Ocean Sciences Centre in Sidney, BC. The intention of this RFP is to contract with a cleaning firm capable of providing Janitorial Services to meet requirements of this statement of work (SOW) and all attached documentation.
The contractor’s responsibility will include but is not limited to providing all necessary technical expertise, management, labour, supervision, the pre-approved and listed materials, tools, products and equipment (except as supplied by Real Property Safety and Security (RPSS) Site Representative) necessary to provide professional cleaning services to us such that all spaces assigned to be cleaned within this contract are maintained clean and hygienic.
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS: This contract includes security requirements. The Contractor personnel requiring access to sensitive work site(s) must EACH hold a valid RELIABILITY Status, granted or approved by CSP, PWGSC. MANDATORY SITE VISIT Mandatory site visit will be on December 18, 2025 at 09:00am local time.
Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than December 16, 2025 at 04:00 PM local time to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: The period of contract shall be from Contract award to March 31, 2028.
The Contractor grants to Canada the irrevocable option to extend the term of the Contract by up to two (1) additional one (1) year period under the same conditions.
