Scope overview
Multikolektorski maseni spektrometar s induktivno spregnutom plazmom (MC ICP-MS) je suvremeni analitički instrument koji se koristi za izotopne analize različitih materijala te ima široku primjenu ne samo u geoznanostima, već i u ostalim znanstvenim disciplinama od arheologije do nuklearne forenzike.
U okviru GEOLAB projekta MC ICP-MS se prvenstveno nabavlja s namjerom korištenja u geokemijskim znanstvenim istraživanjima, od određivanja izvorišta materijala do određivanja starosti geoloških uzoraka.
Povezivanje uređaja s nebulizatorom i autouzorkivačem omogućit će dobivanje preciznih i točnih podataka o izotopnom sastavu uzoraka u otopini, dok povezivanje uređaja sa sustavom laserske ablacije omogućit će dobivanje dvodimenzionalnih podataka o prostornoj varijabilnosti izotopnog sastava krutih uzoraka.
