Scope overview
ACC has supported Live Stronger for Longer (LSFL) approved Community Strength and Balance (CSB) classes for older adults at risk of falling since 2016. The objective of LSFL is to improve lives every day by minimising the material economic, social, and personal burden of harm of older adult falls and fall injuries that is being increasingly felt by individuals, family and whanau, communities, and New Zealand.
ACC is seeking proposals from organisations that can coordinate and improve access to and participation in Community Strength and Balance initiatives across New Zealand to support a reduction in older adults falls and fractures.
The service will contribute towards strengthening the LSFL system by retaining national coverage and continued access to approved CSB classes, increasing participation and improving equity of access for groups of older adults by addressing barriers.
