Scope overview

The objective of the RFP is to enhance public EV charging capacity and reduce the risk of queueing during Christmas 2023 by filling gaps and providing additional chargers for existing charging sites along twelve identified major New Zealand holiday journey routes prior to the 2023 peak holiday season.

The routes have been identified through analysis of New Zealand traffic flows and analysis of peak-season traffic data obtained from Waka Kotahi, and encompass twenty-five specific locations.
