Scope overview
Gemeente Eindhoven werkt aan het verbeteren van mentale gezondheid van inwoners, het voorkomen van (verergering van) psychische problemen en destigmatisering van psychische kwetsbaarheid (Gezondheidsbeleid ‘Gezondheid telt voor iedereen’ en plan Gezond en Actief Leven Akkoord (GALA)). Een bewezen effectieve interventie hiervoor is Mental Health First Aid (hierna MHFA) (bron: Trimbos Instituut).
MHFA is een psycho-educatie programma en is erop gericht op psychische kwetsbaarheid en/of leed bij anderen te herkennen, hen te benaderen, te ondersteunen en te verwijzen naar passende hulp. Het draagt ook bij aan destigmatisering van psychische kwetsbaarheid.
