Scope overview
In accordance with Section 3-04(b)(2)(iii) of the New York City Procurement Policy Board Rules, New York City Fire Department intends to utilize Negotiated Acquisition Extension method to extend the existing contract with Virtair Inc, from 1/1/2025 to 12/31/2025, for the provision of inspecting, hydrostatically testing, repair, filling and delivery of FDNY owned aluminum and steel oxygen and nitrogen cylinders to all EMS stations and Fire Depots.
Vendors that are interested in expressing interest in similar procurements in the future may contact contracts@fdny.nyc.gov. There is compelling need to extend the current contract beyond the cumulative twelve month limit, and the extension is for the minimum time necessary to meet the need.
Pursuant to Procurement Policy Board Rules Section 3-01 (d) (2), (Special Case Circumstances), that a special case circumstance exists which makes it in the best interest of the City to utilize the Negotiated Acquisition Extension Method. Agency: Fire Department Status: Intent to Award
