Ministry of Health Seeks Nitrile Gloves for National Healthcare Supply

This opportunity is a one-off replenishment order of Powder-free, Latex-free, Nitrile Gloves for the Ministry of Health central supply depot. We are seeking 50,000,000 (Fifty Million) individual gloves (25,000,000 pairs). The expected outcome to this RFQ process is to: I.

Purchase a range of Powder Free Nitrile Gloves in various sizes, available for use in New Zealand by DHB hospitals and other health and disability settings. II. achieve value for money for Nitrile gloves that are suitable for use in DHB hospitals; III. ensure access to an appropriate level of support, education and training for relevant health professionals; IV.

understand how many gloves are available that are already in New Zealand, and their delivery schedules V. understand the volumes of gloves that can be supplied across suppliers and manufacturers VI. understand how many can be purchased from overseas and their respective delivery schedules; VII. establish relationships with suppliers of Nitrile gloves.

We recognise that the use of Nitrile Gloves touches a broad group of health professionals; therefore, in the event a purchase agreement is entered into with a supplier as an outcome of this RFQ process: I. It is anticipated that multiple suppliers of Nitrile gloves may be used (if appropriate) to meet the needs of numerous departments and DHBs. II.

Any resultant purchase agreement will be between the supplier and The Ministry of Health.
