Masfjorden kommune skal oppgradera/rehabilitera 2 stykk bruer, Hopebru og Gunnarbuøyra.Hope bru er en stålbjelkebru i ett spenn med tredekke og lengde på rett under 9 meter og bredde 3,5 meter. Bruas svake punkt er underdimensjonerte bjelker, påbegynt råte i treverket og svakt rekkverk.Eksisterende overbygging skal erstattes med prefabrikkerte betongelementer.
Det skal støpes nye konsoller / opplegg på landkarene og det skal etableres nytt rekkverk. Det skal etableres midlertidig gangbru i anleggsperioden når eksisterende bru vert fjerna til ny bru er operativ.Gunnarbuøyra bru er en betongbru med 2 spenn og en lengde på ca 27 meter og bredde 3,5meter. Brua har prefabrikkert betongribber som bæresystem. Topp av plasstøpt brudekke i betong fungerer som slitelag.
