Scope overview

Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNSY) in Kittery, Maine, is seeking sources capable of providing all labor equipment, tools, materials, replacement parts, and supervision necessary to perform the maintenance services indicated in the Statement of Work (SOW) for diesel generators. Attached is the Statement of Work (SOW). A hybrid contract of firm fixed price and time and materials is anticipated for this requirement.

***Please note the SOW states this will be a base contract, plus 4 option years, however that may change to a base, plus 3 option years. *** This sources sought announcement is published for market research purposes only. At a later date, an actual solicitation may be posted to the Government Point of Entry (GPE) at www.SAM.gov. with an official Solicitation Number and Request for Quote.

The market research information collected resulting from this Sources Sought Notice will be used to help the Government to identify qualified sources capable of accomplishing the required work outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW) under NAICS Code 811310. The Small Business Size Standard for this NAICS Code is $12.5 Millions of dollars.

This Notice should NOT be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, nor to ultimately award a contract. Responders acknowledge that this Notice does NOT restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach, nor to reimburse Responders for any costs that may be incurred in preparation of response(s) to this Notice.

In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are NOT deemed offers, and CANNOT be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Only those Responders who are able to meet the following criteria should respond to this Sources Sought Notice: 1. Entity is capable of meeting ALL specifications outlined in the attached SOW document. 2.

Entity has an active CAGE Code, and current registration in the System for Award Management (www.SAM.gov). 3. Entity does NOT appear on the Excluded Parties List. Responses should include the following information: 1. Company Name and CAGE Code as reflected in its current SAM Registration, and Tax Identification Number (TIN). 2.
