Scope overview
DEP intends to enter into a Sole Source Agreement with Jet Vac Equipment for the purchase of Envirosight QuickView Air HD Zoom Pole Camera System and Accessories.
The purpose of this request is to replace older equipment which has exceeded its useful operational life span and no longer cost affective to repair and to expand the bureaus sewer inspection capabilities to meet The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued Administrative Compliance Order CWA-02-2016-3012 to the City of New York and DEP on September 2, 2016.
As part of the Order, BWSO created a Sewer Backup Prevention & Response Plan and submitted the plan to EPA on May 31, 2017. This outlines a 3-year Targeted Sewer Inspection Program (TSIP) with the goal to inspect & clean sewer segments in problematic areas: Community Boards 412 and 413 in Queens and Community Boards 313 and 315 in Brooklyn.
